This project we had in 2014 is an example of how to "expand" a space reduced by performing a fluid design with white gravel and river stones. We called to improve or rather "repair" a design previously made by a local landscaping company:
The garden measures only 13.5 square meters and had two bamboos, some ornamental grass seedlings and San Augustin - this kind of grass is suitable for large gardens designs is broadleaf and looks better from a distance. It is not very well in a small garden, also it is a species that likes the sun and yard which we speak has a decorative canvas up to shade.
Photo during work - was not easy to organize all the material in such a small space:
We had to take a lot of land and compacted rubble of some places and replace them with washed gravel to improve drainage, as water was puddled.
Photo after:
By the time the owner did not want to give up the wooden fence (to keep her two puppies outside the garden). But henceforth it is to be replace with another in keeping with the new design.
The white gravel gives volume to the garden, while the curved lines give the design flow and the garden does not seem that "ends" where the perimeter is finished.
The plants in this garden are Licuala palm, Cycas palm, papyrus stick Brazil, palm beaucarnea (disheveled, elephant foot), asparagus, lily Persian, azaleas and desert rose.
